Special Exam Arrangements

Special Exam Arrangements (SEAs) are offered to support students with a disability or medical condition by providing adjustments to the standard conditions under which exams are administered.

Accessibility will consider the nature of the student's disability or medical condition(s) and make recommendations on the arrangements that can minimise the impacts in the exam settings.

Exams may be run by the Examinations Office or the Academic College/s, and they are responsible for implementing the arrangements.

  1. Students are responsible for notifying relevant Academic College(s) / Course Convenor(s) at least two weeks and no later than 5 days prior to the exam date if the student requires their SEA's to be in place for their mid- or end-of-semester exams. Students have been advised that without sufficient notice, the SEA's may not be implemented.
  2. Students will receive an email from the Examinations Office or Academic College(s) or Convenor(s) advising all the exam details with their SEAs included.

If you do not receive an email within 3 business days of your exam, please contact the relevant Academic College(s) / Course Convenor(s) or the Examinations Office via email at examinations.officer@anu.edu.au to find out the details of your SEA's.

If you have received your email from the Examinations Office and your SEA's are not outlined in this email, please contact the Accessibility Team via email at accessibility@anu.edu.au for further support.
