Eleanor enjoys hearing stories from alumni
The best part about calling for me is hearing stories from alumni. Learning about alumni experiences during their time at ANU and what they've done since is fascinating and fun
Eleanor Armstrong is a third year ANU student studying a Bachelor of Philosophy with a Diploma in Languages:
鈥淚鈥檓 lucky enough to be a recipient of the National University Scholarship, which has given me the freedom to enjoy my studies and University life and get more than a degree. And it鈥檚 a good thing too that I鈥檓 enjoying ANU as I plan to do more study after my Bachelors and be at university for a long time!
One of the things I鈥檝e enjoyed most about being at ANU has been working as a caller on the Phone Appeal. This is my second year on the Phone Appeal and it鈥檚 a great opportunity for me to give back to a community that has given me so much.
As someone who has benefited from financial support, I feel proud that I can raise money for The ANU Fund, which helps areas all across the university. I鈥檝e seen firsthand the impact these donations can have on students.
The best part about the Phone Appeal for me is hearing stories from alumni 鈥 learning about alumni experiences during their time at ANU and what they鈥檝e done since is fascinating and fun. It鈥檚 helped me gain a better perspective on my studies and opened my mind to the many different paths I can take in the future.
Stories are so important and I can鈥檛 wait to share mine with a student caller after I graduate.鈥
