I’m someone who fights for what matters (like restarting this election). From supporting myself financially since finishing high school to earning an undergraduate, Honours 1st, and PhD in Mathematics while working 60+ hour weeks, I know what it takes to overcome challenges. Before ANU, I spent nearly 15 years in the fast-paced world of start-ups and finance, structuring multi-billion-dollar deals as an investment banker. I joined ANU as a Lecturer, worked my way up to A/Prof., and made impact through my research. I’ve won awards like the Vice-Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence, but more importantly, I’ve earned the trust of students and colleagues alike.

Our university is facing difficult times—course cuts, staff reductions, disengaged students, and a focus on revenue over truth in research. The students are right: we should be a place of peace and reflective thinking, not one tied to defence and intelligence collaborations for the sake of profit. We need better communication, accountability, and leadership that listens to the next generation.
